KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 11 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives will hold the PROTÉGÉ@KUSKOP Carnival at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre (WTCKL) this Saturday and Sunday (Jan 13-14).
The ministry said that the carnival, which will be held from 8.30 am to 6.30 pm, is to promote entrepreneurship and marketability programmes as well as a platform for graduates and students to obtain information related to programmes organised by PROTÉGÉ and the ministry’s agencies through talks and exhibitions, as a kick-start for the PROTÉGÉ programmes planned for this year.
PROTÉGÉ (Professional Training and Education for Growing Entrepreneurs) is a unit under the ministry mandated to organise programmes to increase the potential of marketability and entrepreneurial skills among graduates.
“The carnival prepares 63 booths, with participation from selected private companies, strategic partners and entrepreneurs.
“Apart from that, the carnival is held in a strategic collaboration with other ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) and the Social Security Organisation (Socso),” said the ministry in a statement today.
There will be various interesting activities awaiting the visitors including free entrepreneurship training via entrepreneurship seminars, briefing sessions on financing, pocket talks and experience sharing with PROTÉGÉ alumni and entrepreneurs, as well as open interview sessions with 33 selected companies.
There will also be business matching sessions, financing advisory services, exhibitions by ministries and agencies, sales by graduate entrepreneurs, MADANI Sales and MADANI food truck.
Apart from that, the registration of Rakan Muda offers free vouchers from Shopee, Food Panda, Lazada and Grab Food. Also loan repayment incentives from the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) which is a 10 to 15 percent discount for outstanding debts and E-Sport activities (DOTA2, Efootball, Tekken and GT Racing).
“The PROTÉGÉ X KRU chat will also be launched which is an online chat programme with 12 young entrepreneurs and a high-calibre business panel about the important elements in developing a business, especially for graduates,” read the statement, adding that admission to the carnival is free.
It also said that the public also has a chance to win attractive lucky draw prizes and any latest information can be found through the ministry’s official social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and YouTube.
