KOTA KINABALU, Feb 21 (Bernama) -- Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) has lined up various programmes to commemorate its 50th anniversary this year with Malaysians, said general manager of Petronas Sabah and Labuan regional office Siti Ayu Abdul Wahab.
Siti Ayu said one of the programmes was through Petronas 50 Dreams by making 50 real-life dreams of Malaysians come true.
“Our team will document 50 unspoken dreams of those in need, weaving them into inspiring web films across seven festivities celebrated annually across the country,” she said at the Petronas Group Strategic Relations and Communications Chinese New Year Luncheon With Sabah Media here today.
Siti Ayu acknowledged the long standing relationship that Petronas has had with the media, adding that the media has and will continue to play an important role in communicating the oil and gas corporate message.
She said Petronas appreciated the media support which has made a difference in communicating the company's journey over the years and hoped the established relationship with the media will continue to strengthen.
“On behalf of Petronas, I would like to express my appreciation for the support of media practitioners in providing coverage to our activities, especially the social impact programmes we implement.
“It is our sincere hope that we will continue this collaboration in 2024, the year in which we celebrate Petronas’ 50th anniversary with the theme Together for Our Future,” she said.
