KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), in collaboration with the Computer Science Student Society of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), will host the Varsity Hackathon (VHACK) from Feb 27 to April 20, 2024.
The programme is hosted by SC’s FIKRA Excel initiative that aims to expand the Islamic financial technology (fintech) talent pipeline, the capital market regulator said.
It is open for global applications to win a total cash prize of RM37,500, the SC said in a statement today.
“VHACK seeks to grow the fintech talent pipeline, stimulate students’ creativity and critical thinking, and develop digital skills among students and young professionals, particularly in the Islamic fintech space,” it said.
Local and international undergraduates, especially young fintech enthusiasts, are encouraged to register starting today until March 17, 2024, at https://vhackusm.com/register.
