KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 (Bernama) -- The 24th Southeast Asian Healthcare and Pharma Show (SEACare) sets the stage for latest advancements in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, promising groundbreaking innovations and transformative discoveries that will shape the future of these industries.
SEACare 2024 returns this year with participation from over 100 companies across 10 countries, including the United Kingdom, Denmark, China, Iran and Latvia.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, in a statement today, urged industry stakeholders to participate in SEACare 2024 to discover the latest products and services, obtain new knowledge, and achieve business matching as well as networking.
"There are also plenty of opportunities to form strategic alliances, to collaborate and innovate leading to greater growth for businesses," he said.
The show, which is now under the stewardship of Qube Integrated Sdn Bhd (Qube), will be held at Hall 5, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from April 17 to 19.
Meanwhile, Qube executive chairman Richard Teo said Qube, which is known for organising events like business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) exhibitions, has big plans for SEACare this year.
“We envision SEACare as the region’s premier expo for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
"We would like industry leaders and experts across the world to gather here to exchange insights and collaborate toward the advancement of the healthcare industry,” he said.
He added that visitors have the opportunity to network with officers from government agencies, namely the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA), Medical Device Authority (MDA) and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).
SEACare 2024 also features a business matching programme by MATRADE, knowledge-sharing sessions on crucial topics such as successful healthcare collaborations, regulatory navigation, and talks by policymakers and healthcare leaders.
The speakers include MAHSA University deputy vice-chancellor Prof Dr Rosnah Mohd Zain, Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (APHM) president Datuk Dr Kuljit Singh and MDA chief executive Dr Muralitharan Paramasua.
