Bursa Malaysia, Subsidiaries To Close For Hari Raya Aidilfitri

KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 (Bernama) -- Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday (April 10 and April 11) in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays, subject to the official announcement by the Keeper of the Ruler’s Seal.

In a statement, the stock exchange operator said both securities and derivatives markets will be opened under normal trading hours on April 9 if the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on April 10 and the second day on April 11.

“There will be no T+1 night trading session for the derivatives market (on April 9),” it said.

Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries will resume operation on Friday, April 12.

However, if the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on April 11, both securities and derivatives markets will be opened under normal trading hours on April 10, but there will be no T+1 night trading session for the derivatives market. 

Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries will be closed on Thursday and Friday (April 11 and April 12) and will resume operations on Monday, April 15.
