Sunview Teams Up With Yashil Energiya To Explore Re Projects In Uzbekistan

KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 (Bernama) -- Sunview Group Bhd announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd, has entered into a strategic business alliance agreement with LLC Yashil Energiya to explore business opportunities in renewable energy (RE) and green energy-related projects in Uzbekistan.

Under the agreement, Sunview will be the investor and engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning provider for the projects, while Yashil Energiya will act as the purchaser for the electricity generated from the projects.  

Yashil Energiya is a company established by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan that specialises in the field of RE.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Sunview Group said Fabulous Sunview has an issued share capital of RM40.25 million comprising 1,661,274 ordinary shares.

In a separate statement, group executive director and group chief executive officer of Sunview Group Ong Hang Ping said the collaboration allows the company to extend its geographical reach, which also underscores its commitment to support Uzbekistan’s sustainability agenda.

"Given Uzbekistan’s target to generate 40 per cent of its electricity requirements via renewable sources by 2030, our partnership is perfectly aligned with this sustainability goal.

"I am confident that our joint efforts will yield a positive outcome for the communities we serve and foster a greener future for all," he said.
