KUCHING, May 21 (Bernama) -- Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sarawak Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi today attended the ‘Bujang Berani’ book launch at the Sarawak Club here.
Written by a veteran journalist, James Alexander Richie, 74, ‘Bujang Berani’ tells about the sacrifices of Sarawak security forces in defending the country from enemy attacks.
Members of the Sarawak branch of the Malaysian Ex-Police Association (PBPM) and Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association related their experience fighting the communists in Malaya.
The veterans were awarded medals such as the George Cross Medal by the Queen of England and the Order for Valour and Gallant for their contributions and courage.
