Resorts World Genting Eyes 3,000 Visitors To Inaugural Genting Sustainbiz F&b Expo

KUALA LUMPUR, May 24 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's premier integrated resort destination Resorts World Genting (RWG) aims to attract 3,000 visitors regionally to the inaugural Genting SustainBiz Food and Beverages (F&B) Expo at the Genting International Convention Centre from Sept 10 to 12.

RWG senior vice-president of sales and marketing and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions Spencer Lee said the three-day event would highlight the key segments of the green economy and sustainable future in the F&B industries.

It would also focus on sustainable food production, seafood practices, packaging and food waste management, regenerative agricultural practices, plant-based innovations and food innovation research, renewable energy and eco-friendly commercial equipment among others.

Lee said the exhibition aims to secure 80 local and international exhibitors and hosts up to 100 local and international buyers.

"As our business grows and contributes to economic growth, we must also contribute back to Mother Nature.

"We want to provide a good platform where we can house the industrial experts in this area and all business owners to discuss their businesses (related to sustainability in F&B industries)," he told a press conference here today.

Visitors of the up-and-coming Genting SustainBiz F&B Expo can look forward to eco-friendly equipment demonstrations, food innovation research presentations and white paper discussions on sustainability issues and topics. 

The exhibition would also provide ample business networking opportunities with top-tier buyers, free workshops for building conversations and artificial intelligence-powered business matching services.

A memorandum of understanding was also inked between RWG and a French-based business communities connector, Comexposium Sdn Bhd, to co-organise the event.
