KUALA LUMPUR, June 4 (Bernama) -- Datasonic Technologies Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Datasonic Group Bhd, has secured five contract extensions totalling RM181.65 million from the Home Ministry.
All the contracts are for six months commencing from June 1 to Nov 30, 2024, Datasonic said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
The company accepted the award and extension to supply MyKad, MyTentera, MyPOCA raw cards and consumables to the National Registration Department (NRD).
Datasonic subsequently received extension contracts related to maintenance services of card personalisation centres at NRD and also for the supply of Malaysian passport chips to the Immigration Department.
It also received extension contracts from the Immigration Department for the supply of Malaysian passport documents and for the supply of polycarbonate biodata pages.
“The contracts are expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings and net assets per share of Datasonic Group for the financial year ending March 31, 2025,” it added.
