SEVEN SOLDIERS KILLED IN CAR BOMBING IN NORTHWESTERN PAKISTAN -- ARMED FORCES

MOSCOW, June 10 (Bernama-Sputnik) -- Seven Pakistani soldiers were killed in a car bombing in the city of Lakki Marwat in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the press service of the Pakistani armed forces reported, according to Sputnik.

"On 9th June 2024, an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded on vehicle of Security Forces in Lakki Marwat District. Resultantly, Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas (age: 26 years, resident of Kasur District) along with six other brave sons of soil … made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat," the press service said on X on Sunday.

On March 16, the press service said that at least seven Pakistani soldiers, including two officers, were killed in an attack on a security force post in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan.
