MAKKAH, June 11 (Bernama) -- Masyair Operation team has been fully prepared to welcome the arrival of Malaysian pilgrims to Arafah, Muzdalifah and Mina starting this Friday, with the support and medical services ready at the best level.

The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, said all 31,600 Malaysian pilgrims have been in Makkah and are waiting for the climax of the Hajj, which is the wukuf (ritual of standing before God) at Arafah this Saturday.

"I am grateful to see the various facilities and services provided by Tabung Haji for our pilgrims and I found that all the facilities and services provided by Tabung Haji are very systematic and of international standard.

"Many of the infrastructure and facilities that have been upgraded to ensure movement, accommodation and food and drink arrangements are better prepared thus ensuring pilgrims are comfortable while performing Hajj, especially during wukuf.

"All this clearly shows the commitment of the government and Tabung Haji which always prioritises the welfare, health and safety of our pilgrims," he told media personnel at the TH Headquarters yesterday.

Mohd Na'im said TH's ability and excellence in providing facilities and taking care of welfare, was also recognised by the pilgrims themselves who were satisfied with the services provided.

This feedback was voiced when he had the opportunity to greet them at the Abraj Al-Janadriyah Hotel, the accommodation for more than 6,000 Malaysian pilgrims which is also the TH headquarters in Makkah.

"Alhamdulillah, their answers are very sincere and they praise and appreciate the services and sacrifices made by Hajj workers in treating them as Duyufurrahman," he said.

At the same time, in the run-up to Wukuf Day, Mohd Na'im also asked all Malaysian pilgrims to continue to maintain a disciplined, good and knowledgeable nature and always protect the good name of the country.

More than two million Muslims will begin the movement to Arafah starting this Friday, which is also the largest movement of Muslims to perform the culminating worship of Hajj, which is the wukuf at Arafah, visit to Muzdhalifah and Mina, as well as throwing in the three jamrahs, namely Sughra, Wusta and Kubra.
