KOTA BHARU, June 16 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, visited the graves of his grandmothers, the late Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Zainab II, and the late Tengku Azizah Tengku Mohd Hamzah, at the Langgar Royal Mausoleum here today.
He was greeted by state government officials upon his arrival at the mausoleum at 6 pm.
Accompanying him was the Crown Prince of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, with the ceremony led by Kelantan's Mufti, Datuk Mohamad Shukri Mohamad.
The Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Zainab II, the mother of the late Sultan Ismail Petra, passed away at Istana Negeri Kubang Kerian on Jan 10, 1993, at the age of 75.
Whereas, Tengku Azizah Tengku Mohd Hamzah, the mother of the Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Tengku Anis Tengku Abdul Hamid, passed away on Dec 25, 1999.
