KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 (Bernama) -- AEON Credit Service (M) Bhd has made its fourth issuance of sukuk wakalah under the Islamic commercial papers (ICP) programme today, with a total nominal amount of RM300 million in two tranches.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said the sukuk wakalah comprises Series 4 Tranche No. 1 with a nominal amount of RM200 million and a tenure of three months from the date of issuance; and Series 4 Tranche No. 2 with a nominal amount of RM100 million and a tenure of six months from the date of issuance.
The proceeds will be used for financing disbursements to customers in the ordinary course of business of providing consumer financing based on the Shariah principle, expenses relating to the ICP programme and to refinance any existing and future Islamic financing facilities, it said.
