East Coast Madani Rakyat Programme Records 121,000 Visitors As Of Noon Today - Ahmad Zahid

KUANTAN, July 6  (Bernama) -- The East Zone 2024 MADANI Rakyat programme at Dataran Sayangi Kuantan recorded 121,000 visitors as of 1 pm today, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. 

He said attracting a huge crowd to the event alone is not enough if the programme is not attended by people of the East Coast states to see programmes that had been implemented by the federal and state governments. 

Ahmad Zahid, also the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, said the federal government had implemented many development projects such as the construction of the East Coast Rail Line (ECRL) which will be a 'game changer'  for Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang.

"We not only hope for cooperation from the governments of Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang in developing the states, but the people of these three states should together support the federal government's aspiration to continue developing the east coast states. 

“We also want unification thought to implement something that is for the best of the people,” he said at the East Zone MADANI Rakyat programme today.

The East Zone MADANI Rakyat Programme, held yesterday until tomorrow,  is a continuation of the MADANI Government One Year Anniversary programme which has been extended to the state level by zone.

The programme aims to allow the community to understand, see and evaluate new policies and initiatives implemented by the federal government to improve the well-being of the people.

It is organised by the Prime Minister's Office through the Performance and Acceleration Unit (PACU),  with the cooperation of the Rural and Regional Development Ministry and the Pahang government.
