LONDON, July 7 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- British veteran Andy Murray wouldn't have one more match at Wimbledon in the last year of his career as his partner Emma Raducanu announced withdrawal from the mixed doubles due to injury on Saturday, reported Xinhua.
Murray, 37, was competing at the All England Club for the last time as the three-time Grand Slam champion had decided to retire later this year.
The two-time Wimbledon champion planned to play in the first round of the mixed doubles with compatriot Raducanu on Saturday, but the US Open champion said she felt uncomfortable in her right wrist and had to make the tough decision.
Raducanu, 21, is scheduled to play her fourth-round singles match on Sunday. Her opponent is New Zealand's qualifier Lulu Sun.
Murray underwent surgery to deal with a back injury only a few days ago but didn't quit the singles event at Wimbledon until the last moment. He partnered with his elder brother Jamie Murray in the men's doubles event where they lost their first round match last Thursday.
As a two-time Olympic champion, Murray will play his last event in his 20-year career at the Paris Olympics this summer.
