TAARANA SCHOOL WINS BEST SPECIAL EDUCATION CENTRE OF THE YEAR AWARD

KUALA LUMPUR, July 11 (Bernama) – Taarana School, a centre dedicated to educating and providing therapy for children with cognitive and sensory challenges, has been honoured with the ‘Best Special Education Centre of the Year’ award at the Private Educational Entrepreneur Association of Malaysia (PEEAM) EduAwards 2024.

This accolade recognises Taarana’s unwavering commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where students can thrive and reach their fullest potential.

The PEEAM EduAwards 2024, an event celebrating exceptional contributions by education innovators, took place at the end of June alongside the International Education Symposium (IES 2024) and Private Education Carnival (KPS 2024).

Initially, Taarana qualified in the ‘Best Education’ category before being named the ‘Elite Winner,’ the highest distinction, for its dedication to excellence and high standards in special education.

Established in 2011 by the RYTHM Foundation, the social impact initiative of the QI Group, Taarana has continuously strived to deliver inclusive and transformative education.

Expressing her gratitude, Taarana Principal, Dr Sunitha Sivakumaran, said, “We are deeply honoured to receive this award, as it underscores our ongoing mission to deliver inclusive and transformative education of the highest quality.”

The award also highlights the progress of Taarana students, the dedication of its educators and staff, and the strong support from parents.

Meanwhile,  Head of RYTHM Foundation, Santhi Periasamy, said the award is a significant achievement for Taarana and RYTHM Foundation, reaffirming their dedication to enabling every child to flourish and reach their full potential.

“We are committed to making a meaningful impact in special education in Malaysia,” she said.

Taarana specialises in providing quality education and resources for children with special learning needs. The school aims to unlock each child’s potential through structured academic and therapy programmes, enabling them to become active and contributing members of their communities.
