HAIER MALAYSIA ANTICIPATES 40 PCT INCREASE IN SALES FOR 2H 2024

PETALING JAYA, July 22 (Bernama) -- Haier Electrical Appliances (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd anticipates a 40 per cent increase in sales in the second half of 2024 (2H 2024) and at least a 30 per cent sales growth in 2025. 

Its managing director, Fan Jing, said the target was due to Haier Malaysia's positive sales performance of 43 per cent year-on-year growth in 1H 2024.

"We expect the refrigerator category's sales performance for 2H 2024 to increase by 40 per cent.

"We target an increase of 15 per cent in the freezer category in 2H 2024. As for this (refrigerator) category, we have already become the number one brand in Malaysia," he said after launching the new Haier 2024 COOLING product lineup here today. 

Fan said the company aims to achieve a 16 per cent market share in the multi-door refrigerator market and become one of the top three brands in Malaysia by the end of the year. 

"For next year, we would like to be number one in terms of market share for the multi-door refrigerator category," he said.

For the new Haier 2024 COOLING product lineup, the company has introduced 12 models, including seven new variants for the refrigerator category and five new variants under the freezer category, including two models of wine cellars. 

Fan said Haier Malaysia is optimistic that these new additions will be a catalyst for the company's 2H 2024 business growth and end the year on a higher note.

"We target to sell 1,000 units per month for the multi-door refrigerators. We did not have a high expectation for the freezer category because the wine cellars were just launched today," he said. 

Fan added that new refrigerators and freezers will be available at all 48 Haier brand shops nationwide, and consumers will also be able to view and purchase these products from more than 1,800 retail outlets.
