SHAH ALAM, July 23 (Bernama) -- The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) has organised the Bizmatch Mega PKNS: Himpunan Usahawan Selangor 2024 programme, which offers an exceptional platform for entrepreneurs to enhance their business networks.

The second edition of the programme, organised by the PKNS Business Development Division, brought together 1,500 entrepreneurs from diverse sectors and offered participants the chance to meet and interact directly with over 30 selected agencies specialising in finance and entrepreneurship, which can support their future business development.

PKNS deputy chief executive officer (corporate) Suhaimi Kasdon said the large-scale programme could serve as a catalyst for business growth in Selangor, while also enhancing entrepreneurship facilities in the state, especially those offered by PKNS.

“The programme aims to assist Selangor’s entrepreneurship agencies in channelling all information about the available facilities and in providing business development opportunities for entrepreneurs in the state.

“This PKNS initiative is part of the efforts to assist the state government in driving the growth of entrepreneurs in Selangor to a higher level,” he said in his speech at the launch of the programme here today.

The financial agencies participating in today’s programme include Agro Bank, Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), Maybank, Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB), CIMB, MBSB Bank Berhad, RHB Bank, TEKUN, Yayasan Hijrah, MIDF, Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (PERNAS), and Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad.

The entrepreneurial agencies involved in the programme were the State Economic Planning Unit, Ko Hijrah Selangor, Selangor State Agricultural Development Corporation, Social Security Organisation, SME Corp, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, and Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated.

Suhaimi added that PKNS is committed to helping entrepreneurs develop their businesses by providing access to key opportunities through programmes that strengthen business networks and promote collaboration with financial agencies.

Therefore, he hoped that the entrepreneurs involved in the event would explore opportunities and gain insights into the available facilities, including loans, grants, and entrepreneurship programmes and other support from the agencies participating in the PKNS initiative.

“Use this platform to interact directly with these agencies and other entrepreneurs. Gather as much information, opportunities, support, and insights as possible to aid in future business development,” he said.
