Kotex Malaysia Launches New Product Innovation, Kotex Total Protection

KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 (Bernama) -- Kotex Malaysia, renowned for its menstrual hygiene products, has launched its latest innovation, Kotex Total Protection, featuring revolutionary rise-up guard technology to offer up to 100 per cent protection against back leaks during nighttime periods.

Kotex Malaysia’s brand manager, Michelle Chin, said her team dedicated approximately two years to conducting research and studies to develop a product that meets customers’ needs.

“As a result of our studies on consumer insights, we found out that preventing period or back leaks during the night remains the top priority for women during their period and needs to be addressed.

“After extensive research, our innovation team developed the Anti-Leak Back Cushion technology, which acts as a guard to prevent back leaks. It has been lab-tested and proven to offer up to 100 per cent protection against such leaks,” she told Bernama following the launching event on Thursday.

She said they consulted medical experts regarding the importance of sleep and discovered that it is crucial for managing premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and periods, as it helps stabilise hormones.

As part of the Kotex Total Protection innovation, Kotex Malaysia collaborated with popular singer Iman Troye to produce an exclusive and first-of-its-kind period song, ‘Teman Malam,’ aimed at destigmatising periods.

Iman Troye, whose real name is Siti Nur Iman Alyssa Sahabudin, 22, said the song addresses the necessity for reliable, all-night companionship that she and many women require.

“Experiencing a leak affects the quality of our rest. Our entire day can be impacted, and yet we must still push ourselves to perform our best throughout the day,” she said.

Meanwhile, Kotex, in partnership with Watsons Malaysia, is showcasing the newly enhanced Kotex Total Protection through the #KotexDreamland event at Sunway Velocity here for three days from yesterday to highlight the comfort and quality sleep provided by the brand.

Customers attending the event will receive an exclusive Corduroy Backpack for free with a minimum purchase of RM25 worth of Kotex products.

Additionally, from July 25 to Aug 31, any purchases amounting to RM25 of Kotex products in a single receipt (including at least one pack of Kotex Total Protection) at the concourse or from any Watsons retail stores within Klang Valley will qualify for the Kotex #DreamRoomMakeover contest.

The lucky winner will receive a bedroom makeover by Atap & Co worth RM20,000.
