AL-AHSA, July 29 (Bernama-SPA) -- The Gulf Cooperation Council Commercial Arbitration Centre (GCCCAC) and Al-Ahsa Center for Commercial Arbitration (ACCA) signed a cooperation agreement to exchange expertise and knowledge and to organize training programs and specialised events designed to boost the role of arbitration as an effective process for resolving commercial and investment disputes.
The signing ceremony of the agreement took place at the headquarters of the GCCCAC in Manama, Bahrain, in the presence of GCCCAC Secretary-General Dr Eng. Kamal Al Hamad the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACCA, Dr Yousef Al Jaber, and a number of officials from both sides, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The agreement aims to establish a strategic partnership between the two parties to enhance cooperation in the fields of arbitration and alternative processes of resolving disputes, exchanging technical expertise, and organising training programs, seminars, and relevant scientific conferences to qualify arbitrators and experts in the field of dispute settlement.
This agreement comes as part of the efforts of the two centers to spread the arbitration culture and knowledge exchange, enhance professional standards and practices in the field of commercial arbitration, and implement high-quality training programs to qualify specialised cadres in this vital field.
