GUA MUSANG, July 30 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced that the government will establish a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution in Gua Musang.
He said the purpose of this new TVET institution is to provide training and job opportunities for youths who have attended school and grew up in the South Kelantan Development Authority (KESEDAR) area in the district.
Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, highlighted that TVET courses have garnered significant attention nationwide, particularly across various industries.
“Among the 100 individuals who participated in TVET programmes, 98.7 per cent secured immediate employment opportunities in the industry.
“All of them are being ‘booked’ by the industry as TVET courses are closely aligned with employers’ requirements nationwide.
He said this when launching the Development Plan for the Rural Development Centre, Sungai Asap, KESEDAR, here, today.
