ISKANDAR PUTERI, Aug 5 (Bernama) -- Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) head coach Hector Pablo Bidoglio praised his players for adhering to the game plan in their 3-0 victory against Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDA) in the second leg of the FA Cup semi-final match last night.
He said the team broke the deadlock in the second half after being held off by KDA's resilient defence and an outstanding performance from KDA goalkeeper Kalamullah Al-Hafiz Mat Rowi in the first half.
“In the first half, the team moved the ball from side to side and found the space but sometimes we played too fast.
“In the second half, we adjusted some details. We needed to be patient, move the ball and find the right space at the right moment. The players did the job very, very well,” he told reporters after the game at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium here yesterday.
KDA head coach Mohd Nafuzi Mahammad Zain commended his players for giving their best effort against JDT despite the loss.
Kalamullah Al-Hafiz’s should be commended for keeping a clean slate until Southern Tigers defender Muhamad Feroz Baharudin broke the deadlock in the 49th minute.
JDT added two more goals through Bergson Gustavo Silveira Da Silva in the 76th minute and Juan Muniz Gallego in the 82nd minute.
JDT will face Selangor FC in the FA Cup final on Aug 24 at Bukit Jalil Stadium.
