KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 5 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi described the Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali as a key figure in ensuring that government policies are implemented efficiently and effectively.

He said Mohd Zuki has also contributed significantly to the development and success of the country's administration.

"May he continue to succeed in whatever field he ventures into after this. Insya Allah," he said in a post on Facebook after attending the Prime Minister's monthly assembly with a staff of the Prime Minister’s Department in Putrajaya today.

Ahmad Zahid said today’s monthly assembly holds a deeper meaning because it is also the last monthly gathering for Mohd Zuki as the KSN.

Mohd Zuki, 62, was appointed as KSN on Dec 31, 2019.

In August 2022, his tenure as the KSN was extended for another two years and the contract ends this Saturday (Aug 10).

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Nanyang University, Singapore and has served in the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

He has also served at Istana Negara and the Prime Minister's Department and has held positions as the Sarawak Federal Secretary and Secretary-General of the Defence Ministry.
