Three Super League Clubs Still Have Salary, Epf, Irb, Perkeso, Eis arrears - Mfl

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Football League (MFL) has confirmed that three Super League clubs have outstanding salary payments and contributions to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Inland Revenue Board (IRB), Social Security Organisation (Perkeso) and Employment Insurance Scheme (EIS) for May and June.

It said this is based on the financial report document review conducted by the Financial Fair Play First Instance Body (FFP FIB) before July 16.

“Two other clubs need to submit additional financial documents. All the affected clubs have been instructed by FFP FIB to settle the arrears and submit the additional financial documents before the Aug 15 deadline.

“Failure to do so will result in the clubs facing a transfer bans in the next transfer window,” it added.

The MFL also said that, based on the review of the financial report documents, the FFP FIB found that eight clubs had submitted their initial FFP financial reports in full, with no outstanding salary payments or contributions to EPF, LHDN, SOCSO, and EIS up to June.

However, two clubs failed to submit their initial FFP financial reports by the July 16 deadline but managed to do so after being granted an extension until July 31 by the FFP FIB.

The MFL said the review of Super League clubs’ financial report submissions was the first phase in the implementation of FFP regulations in the Malaysia League (M-League) starting from the 2024-2025 season.
