NEW YORK, Aug 10 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar weakened in late trading on Friday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.07 per cent to 103.133 at 3.00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro advanced to US$1.0919 from US$1.0918 in the previous session, and the British pound climbed to US$1.2757 from US$1.2751 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 146.62 Japanese yen, lower than 147.22 Japanese yen of the previous session. The US dollar decreased to 0.8647 Swiss francs from 0.8659 Swiss francs, and it added to 1.3733 Canadian dollars from 1.3732 Canadian dollars. The US dollar increased to 10.5205 Swedish kronor from 10.5157 Swedish kronor.
