KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today in line with the uptrend in the cash market.
The August 2024 and September 2024 contracts gained 8.0 points each to 1,625.00 and 1,606.00 respectively, December 2024 added 8.5 points to 1,612.00, and March 2025 climbed 10.0 points to 1,598.00.
Turnover increased to 8,779 lots from 6,435 on Thursday while open interest grew to 48,130 contracts from 45,579 previously.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI was 0.68 per cent, or 10.96 points, firmer at 1,623.90 compared with Thursday’s close of 1,612.94.
