Melaka Explorace: TMM2024’s Biggest Treasure Hunt Event Set For October

MELAKA, Sept 8 (Bernama) -- The ‘Melaka Explorace’ treasure hunt organised by the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), scheduled to take place from Oct 5 to 6, is set to be the largest competition in conjunction with the Visit Melaka Year 2024 (TMM2024).

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said other key events in October include the German Week from Oct 14 to 17 and the Melaka International Air Carnival from Oct 31 to Nov 3.

“As for this month, the Melaka Beach Festival and the Melaka Giant Kite Festival will be held from Sept 14 to 15,” he said during the opening ceremony of the Vibrant Melaka: Creating People-Centric Living Spaces Seminar here today.

The seminar was held in conjunction with the first anniversary of the Santai@Banda Hilir programme and the Car-Free Zone.

Also present were Housing, Local Government, Drainage, Climate Change and Disaster Management Committee chairman Datuk Rais Yasin, Tourism, Heritage, Arts and Culture Committee chairman Datuk Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman, state secretary Datuk Azhar Arshad and Melaka Historic City Council Mayor Datuk Shadan Othman.

Bernama previously reported that the Melaka Explorace would focus on the state’s tourism products and highlight historical sites and destinations across every district.

The event has also been included in the tourism calendar for TMM2024.

The Melaka Explorace will have three categories, namely involving the public, media and Melaka government agencies.
