KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 (Bernama) -- Visitors and travel fans made a beeline to the Taiwan Tourism Pavilion and Salam Taiwan booth at the recently concluded Malaysian Association of Travel and Tour Agents (MATTA) Fair.
The pavilion and booth showcased the north Asian country's rich cultural and tourism potential.
Salam Taiwan is promoting Islamic tourism in conjunction with Visit Taiwan Year 2025. It strives to create an inclusive environment for tourists while exploring new destinations.
The Taiwan Tourism Bureau, in a statement, said the presence of Salam Taiwan Ambassador Nabila Razali with fellow influencers Intan Serah and Safwan Nazri at the exhibition indicated the seriousness of its mission.
“The collaboration between these influential figures and Taiwan's tourism sector seeks to promote tourism and cultural exchange between Malaysia and Taiwan.
“The MATTA exhibition is an ideal platform for this initiative, allowing visitors to learn more about what makes Taiwan a must-visit destination for Malaysian tourists,” said the statement.
Singer and actress Nabila Razali shared captivating stories from her three visits to Taiwan.
“One notable experience included her participation in shooting the "Jom Taiwan" video, highlighting various attractions and experiences available in Taiwan. Her enthusiasm for Taiwanese culture and hospitality resonated with attendees, inspiring many to consider visiting this beautiful island nation,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, influencer and Malaysia's first internationally recognised female footballer, Intan Serah, brought a unique perspective to the exhibition by sharing her journey in sports and acting while emphasising the importance of tourism in broadening horizons.
“Her dynamic personality and easy-to-understand narration captivated the audience, and even encouraged them to explore not only Taiwan but also their potential through tourism,” the statement read.
Safwan Nazri, known for his engaging content on social media platforms, further enriched the event with his charm and charisma.
He shared insights into his travels and experiences in Taiwan—highlighting its diverse landscapes, culinary delights (including local favourites that make you go "Vroom Vroom" with excitement), and cultural richness.
"With the high-profile support of beloved public figures, it is clear that interest in Taiwan tourism is expected to increase significantly by Visit Taiwan Year 2025,” the statement added.
