PETALING JAYA, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- Celebrating a decade of spine-tingling experiences, the iconic Nights of Fright (NOF) returns with a bigger, better, and scarier experience than ever before.
Sunway Theme Parks’ Assistant General Manager of Marketing and Park Experiences Michelle Soong said this year’s edition features the terrifying “Bone Man” from China, who will lead guests through a thrilling maze of horror, complemented by eerie stories from Malaysia’s rich folklore, including the chilling legends of the infamous Karak Highway.
“Many of the elements and attractions we have are inspired by the East because Malaysians are very familiar with Asian-themed horror movies and stories.
“For instance, if you go through NOF this year, you might come across stories inspired by the Karak Highway, which will be one of our highlights,” she said when met by Bernama after the launch of NOF 10 at Sunway Lagoon yesterday.
The Halloween-themed event kicks off today and will run until Oct 31 at Sunway Lagoon, promising an unforgettable scarefest for attendees.
Soong said tickets for the event are priced at RM128, with an additional charge of RM98 for the Express Pass, available for purchase via the Sunway Super App.
She also said that this year’s NOF 10 elevates the horror experience to a global level by introducing intellectual properties (IPs) from around the world, allowing guests to embark on an immersive journey through Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and China.
“This year is a milestone for NOF. We have seen a record-breaking number of actors apply and audition for the event. So this year, we can look forward to about 500 scare actors roaming the streets of NOF 10,” she added.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer and Global Creative Director of Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company Lynton V Harris expressed his excitement about continuing to raise the bar for immersive horror experiences at the NOF 10.
“Together with Sunway Lagoon, we’ve created a unique, fun, and fear-filled environment where every turn brings a new scare, and we can’t wait for guests to immerse themselves in what we’ve created.
“The 10th year of Nights of Fright is a celebration of everything that has made this event a success, while promising new nightmares that will leave everyone with unforgettable memories,” he said.
With a combination of live-action frights, immersive set designs, and a vast array of attractions, NOF 10 is set to be the must-visit event for horror fans.
