NEW YORK, Oct 15 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar advanced in late trading on Monday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, gained 0.4 per cent to 103.297 at 3.00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro declined to US$1.0897 from US$1.0939 in the previous session, and the British pound decreased to US$1.3051 from US$1.3072 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 149.90 Japanese yen, higher than 149.11 yen of the previous session. It increased to 0.8637 Swiss francs from 0.8570 francs, and was up to C$1.3802 from C$1.3761 of the previous session.
Against the Swedish Krona, the greeback rose to 10.4337 Kronor from 10.3676 Kronor in the previous session.
