KANDAHAR, Oct 15 (Bernama-BNA) -- Afghan security officials at the Spin Boldak border intercepted a significant attempt to smuggle historical artefacts, the official state news agency, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA), reported.
In a recent operation, authorities recovered 156 penworks and 13 metalworks, all believed to hold considerable cultural and historical value.
The artefacts, which were in the process of being smuggled out of the region, will be handed over to the National Museum of Afghanistan for identification and restoration.
