KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 18 (Bernama) -- Hamas has confirmed that its Political Bureau Chief, Yahya Sinwar, was killed in an Israeli strike on Thursday.
This was confirmed by Hamas’ political bureau member Khalil al-Hayya in a statement released via the Telegram account of Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades on Friday.
"Yahya Sinwar has become a martyr, fighting in combat against the Israeli forces until his last breath," he said.
On Thursday, international media reported that Yahya Sinwar was killed in Gaza following an Israeli strike.
