‘Home Go Green’ Collects, Donates Used Clothes To The Needy

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- HOME, an education franchise company, has launched its latest corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme called ‘HOME Go Green’ by collecting and donating used clothes to the Nur Ihsan Welfare Organisation.

HOME said in a statement today that HOME Go Green aims to benefit the needy while encouraging recycling practices in the community to support environmental sustainability initiatives.

“The HOME Go Green programme will be one of our continuous initiatives to contribute to community welfare and environmental sustainability.

“Through this programme, the company also invites all 165 HOME Maths Therapy branches throughout Malaysia, as well as the local communities to participate in donating their used clothes which will indirectly bring about a positive impact in preserving the environment,” the statement read.

The donation of used clothes for Nur Ihsan Welfare Organisation was presented by HOME chief executive Faizal Abd Latip the organisation’s representative at HOME headquarters in Ipoh, Perak.

In the same statement, Faizal said that through the programme, HOME aims to support not only welfare and educational initiatives but also to encourage all members of HOME to be more conscious of the importance of waste reduction and better management of used clothes.

“We hope that the donation of used clothes will help ease the burden of those in need, while also contributing to environmental conservation," he said.

HOME is an education franchise company that focuses on teaching mathematics using therapeutic concepts, to help students as young as five to 19 years old.

In addition to advancing its business, HOME is also committed to giving back to society and the environment through corporate initiatives under the HOME Cakna brand to create a more caring society.
