MANILA, Nov 8 (Bernama-PNA) -- Typhoon Marce (international name Yinxing) has so far affected about 7,233 families in three regions, the Philippine News Agency reported, citing the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Friday.
In its latest situational report, the agency said the families were from 239 Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, and Cordillera regions.
As of this posting, 3,958 families, consisting of 11,476 persons, were taking shelter in 186 evacuation centres while 960 families, composed of 2,913 persons, were being helped outside evacuation centres.
According to the Office of Civil Defence (OCD), affected families include those displaced and those not needing transfer or removal from their residence.
There are no reports yet of casualties and other damage, the OCD said.
