KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 20 (Bernama) -- Akademi Kenegaraan Malaysia (AKM) will organise the Malaysia MADANI Nationhood Seminar on Nov 26 as part of the agenda to celebrate two years of the MADANI government's leadership.

Its deputy director-general (Training), in the Prime Minister’s Office, Datuk Ismail Yusop said the seminar ‘Taat Setia’ will be held at Dewan Damar Sari, Block F8, Precinct 1, Putrajaya, with the highlight being the keynote address by the Chief Secretary (KSN) to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

“Through this seminar, civil servants will together listen to the KSN’s speech because in the context of the implementation of MADANI, the implementers are the civil servants and of course, their commitment to its implementation is very important," he said.

He said this when he appeared as a guest on Bernama TV’s ‘Ruang Bicara’ programme titled ‘MADANI: Between Politics and Civilisation' last night.

Ismail said that the two-year programme of the MADANI government is a major agenda because all ministries and agencies will showcase their testimonials and achievements to be shared with the people.

He said that the MADANI concept is not just a slogan as commonly perceived, but rather a framework for the government to make changes and improvements after considering various uncertain challenges, including issues of climate change, the economy and global geopolitics.

"We cannot predict the future, but we can determine the future we want through the implementation of the MADANI concept because it serves as the foundation for the process of empowering the people, and through it, the government will be able to manage diversity issues such as economic disparities between the races to provide social justice for all," he also said.

Yesterday, director of Modern Management and Technology Section at the Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC), Saliza Saari said various programmes have been prepared in conjunction with the Two-Year MADANI Government Programme and 2024 National Civil Service Reform Convention, which will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here.

These will include service exhibitions from ministries, entrepreneur booths, MADANI Sales, a 60 per cent discount on traffic summons by the Royal Malaysia Police, a career carnival, and discounts on entry tickets to the National Museum.

Additionally, a circular on bureaucratic red tape reform (RKB) aimed at introducing new measures to expedite the implementation of reforms in the public service will also be launched during the programme.

The three-day programme is expected to be attended by the entire national administration machinery, including Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the Cabinet, as well as heads of departments and agencies.
