PUTRAJAYA, Nov 26 (Bernama) -- The inaugural Putrajaya Festival of Ideas (Putrajaya FOI), set to take place at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) from tomorrow until Friday, aims to attract over 250,000 visitors.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said the MADANI Career Carnival held in conjunction with the festival would offer 10,000 job opportunities across various levels.
“I would like to invite the public, especially young people from universities, polytechnics, and community colleges, to attend this festival.
“…bring along essential documents as on-the-spot interviews will be conducted during the Festival of Ideas,” he told reporters after inspecting preparations for the event here, today.
Putrajaya FOI will also feature the Malaysia Ideas Conference (MyIDEAS), bringing together over 80 leaders, experts, academics, and industry professionals for forums and parallel sessions.
Among the notable guests, panellists, and moderators scheduled to attend are Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh, Capital A chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, and Ikhlas Capital chairman Tan Sri Nazir Tun Razak.
The Putrajaya FOI Talk session with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will feature discussions on ‘Malaysian Youth Ideas,’ during which he is also scheduled to officiate the programme on Thursday (Nov 28).
The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, is also set to deliver a Royal Address on Friday, marking the final day of the programme.
Previously, Zambry said that the Putrajaya FOI would serve as the starting point for an annual event aimed at strengthening Malaysia’s image as a knowledge- and innovation-based nation, in line with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI and the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK12).
