KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27 (Bernama) -- Three iconic shopping malls - Suria KLCC in the federal capital, Alamanda Shopping Centre in Putrajaya, and Mesra Mall in Kemaman, Terengganu - are inviting shoppers to experience the wonder of a European Christmas Village as part of their festive celebrations this Christmas season.
According to their joint statement today, the malls will host festive activities from Nov 22 to Dec 25 (Suria KLCC), Nov 22, 2024, to Jan 1, 2025, (Alamanda) and Dec 5 to 31 (Mesra Mall), offering shoppers plenty of opportunities for fun, giving and capturing the magic of the season.
According to the statement, Suria KLCC will transform its Centre Court into an idyllic holiday market, featuring charming stalls styled as traditional European timber-framed buildings, where shoppers will discover a florist, bakery, toy and gift shop nestled within the village, each offering delightful experiences.
“Adding to the enchanting atmosphere, the village features an ornate horse carriage, creating the perfect backdrop for Insta-worthy photos.
“The magic extends to the iconic 100ft Christmas tree at the Esplanade KLCC, which will once again shine brightly with dazzling ornaments and lights, providing a grand focal point for this joyous celebration,” the statement said.
The festivities will also feature Santa Claus hosting meet-and-greet sessions, the cheerful sound of Christmas carolers and festive dance performances on Saturdays and Christmas Day.
Suria KLCC also offers shoppers extra value this festive season, with those spending RM2,500 and above in two receipts to receive RM100 in Suria KLCC Shopping e-vouchers as part of the Shoppers Rewards Programme.
Additionally, the first 50 shoppers who purchase RM1,000 in e-vouchers will be gifted an extra RM100 in e-vouchers, making the shopping experience even more rewarding.
Meanwhile at Alamanda Shopping Centre, the holiday spirit will continue with an exciting lineup of entertainment, including Christmas dances, band performances, juggling acts and magic shows on Saturdays and Sundays from Dec 14 to 25.
Families with young children can look forward to a range of fun-filled VIKids activities, including decorating Christmas cupcakes, crafting wooden decorations and colouring holiday-themed art which will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from Dec 21 to 29.
The statement said those who spend over RM500 will receive an RM30 Alamanda e-voucher and shoppers who spend RM1,500 or more will be rewarded with an RM80 e-voucher.
At Mesra Mall, families can enjoy the Santa Hat Workshop on 14 Dec, followed by the Fairy Tale Costume Competition on Dec 21, where participants can dress as their favourite characters for a chance to win prizes.
On Christmas Day, two sessions of Christmas balloon giveaways at 2 pm and 4 pm will bring joy to little ones, and the excitement continues with the VIKids Science Workshop running from Dec 25 to 29, where the workshop features five engaging science stations in a mini laboratory setup.
“Participants must be VIKids members and present a single receipt with a minimum spend of RM100 where each receipt allows up to three children per family to join the workshop on any given day.
“Via the Shoppers Rewards Programme, those who spend RM350 and above in two receipts will be rewarded with an exclusive 8L Pumpkin Pot,” the statement added.
