AMSTERDAM, Dec 18 (Bernama-dpa-AFX) -- The Dutch Data Protection Authority (DPA) has imposed a fine of €4.75 million (US$5 million) on Netflix, reported German Press Agency (dpa).

An investigation started by the regulator in 2019 found that the streaming giant did not inform customers clearly enough in its privacy statement about what exactly Netflix does with the data.

Customers also did not receive sufficient information when they asked Netflix which data the company collects about them.
