BEIJING, Jan 7 (Bernama-CMG) -- The third season of the Chinese Classic Thinking programme, produced by China Media Group (CMG), began airing on January 3, 2025.
The programme is available for viewing across various platforms of China Global Television Network (CGTN) and on major television stations in multiple countries.
This third season consists of three episodes filmed in the city of Sanming, Fujian Province. The programme aims to discuss the foundations of traditional culture and wisdom in the governance of society, with a focus on the traditional thoughts and values embedded in modern national administration strategies.
Sinology expert from Turkiye, Professor Giray Fidan, was invited to provide commentary on modern state administration based on traditional books and philosophies that were prominent during the Southern Song Dynasty, particularly those developed by the renowned figure Zhu Xi.
During the filming of the programme, Professor Giray had the opportunity to visit the city of Sanming, where he met with local residents from various social backgrounds, including farmers, workers, doctors, and scholars.
Commenting on his experience, Professor Giray stated that this trip gave him the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of China.
He was deeply impressed by the warmth of the local residents and the prosperous development of the community. Professor Giray also stated that modern China's wisdom is a significant contribution of Chinese civilisation to the development of humanity, in line with the four famous inventions of ancient times.
The programme is expected to provide profound insights into traditional Chinese thoughts and its application in modern state administration, while also offering a broader perspective on Chinese culture to the world.
