JEDDAH, Jan 23 (Bernama-SPA) -- The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the attacks and crimes committed by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, particularly in Jenin and its refugee camp, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The OIC stated that Israel's actions have resulted in the deaths of ten martyrs, injuries to dozens of civilians, and the destruction of roads and infrastructure.
It also condemned the establishment of military checkpoints and iron gates to isolate Palestinian cities and villages, regarding these actions as part of a broader pattern of war crimes against the Palestinian people.
The OIC warned against the ongoing crimes perpetrated by extremist settler groups, operating with the protection of Israeli occupation forces. The latest attack targeted several Palestinian villages, where property, homes, vehicles, and agricultural lands were set on fire.
It held the Israeli occupation directly accountable for the consequences of these egregious crimes and emphasised the need for accountability under international criminal law.
The OIC renewed its call for the international community to fulfil its responsibilities, put an end to the ongoing Israeli terrorism across the occupied Palestinian territory, and provide protection to the Palestinian people.
