YADIM Hosts Book Discussion To Commemorate Israk Mikraj

PUTRAJAYA, Jan 26 (Bernama) -- The Islamic Dakwah Foundation of Malaysia (YADIM) today organised a book review session for ‘Keadilan Untuk Orang Bersolat’ (Justice for a Praying Person) by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in conjunction with the Israk Mikraj celebration.

YADIM’s chief executive officer, Zamri Zainal Abidin, said the session was part of the Israk Mikraj 1446H programme, held simultaneously at 24 locations nationwide commemorating this significant historical event for Muslims. 

He said the programme aims to educate the public, particularly the youth, on the importance of prayer and its role in contributing to the nation’s development.

“YADIM strives to cultivate a desire to perform prayer in the best possible manner among participants from a young age,” he said in a statement today.

Zamri added that the programme aligns with the theme ‘Islam Mekar Di Bumi Malaysia’ promoted by the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), which emphasises the cooperation and responsibility of every agency to uplift the image of Islam.

Additional activities across the locations include prayer improvement (tahsin) sessions and lectures.

The event of Israk and Mikraj, which will be commemorated tomorrow, marks the pivotal moment when the five daily prayers were ordained as an obligation for Muslims. It is also the occasion when Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) experienced the profound greatness of Allah SWT firsthand, a year prior to his migration from Makkah to Madinah.
