LABUAN, Feb 3 (Bernama) -- The construction of a new preschool building block at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Patau-Patau here, valued at RM919,098.40, has been completed on schedule.
The fast-track project, executed within 30 weeks, was closely monitored to ensure smooth progress and timely completion.
Labuan Public Works Department (JKR) director Mohd Faizul Mohd Ali Hanapiah said the additional building block was developed using an in-depth in-house design by its architecture team.
“We have designed a facility that caters to preschool children, incorporating child-friendly learning spaces, an eating area, and restrooms,” he told Bernama after handing over the completed project to the Ministry of Education (MoE) at SK Patau-Patau here today.
Mohd Faizul said the project commenced on May 14, 2024, and was completed on Dec 19, 2024.
He emphasised that the successful completion of the project reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing the education ecosystem.
“We will continue to collaborate with the MoE to provide a conducive learning environment for our children,” he said.
