JAKARTA, 20 Feb (Bernama) -- Tourism Perak is participating in the three-day ASTINDO Travel Fair 2025 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition BSD, Tangerang, to enhance the state's tourism industry and strengthen its market presence in Indonesia.
The travel fair, which ends on Sunday, serves as a platform for the state's tourism promotion agency to showcase its diverse offerings, including cultural heritage, eco-tourism, and adventure experiences, while fostering collaboration between travel industry players from both countries.
"With Indonesia being one of Malaysia’s key inbound tourism markets, our participation in the event aligns with our broader strategy to attract Indonesian tourists and travel agencies to explore Perak as a must-visit destination in Asia," the agency said in a statement.
Tourism Perak’s exhibit highlights the state’s top travel attractions, including the charms and treasures of the Lenggong and Selama districts, the famed Tasik Cermin, Belum Rainforest Resort, and the popular Sunway Lost World of Tambun.
A networking and business engagement session was held to facilitate discussions between industry stakeholders and key tourism players from both Malaysia and Indonesia.
By engaging with the Indonesian market early, Perak hopes to boost international tourist arrivals ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026, Tourism Perak added.
