KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 (Bernama) -- TikTok Shop has extended its Free Returns period from 15 days to 30 days for authentic branded products purchased on TikTok Shop Mall, in a move aimed at boosting consumer confidence and enhancing the online shopping experience.
TikTok Shop Malaysia Director of Strategic Partnerships Nur Azre Abdul Aziz said this enhanced 30-Day Free Returns policy for TikTok Shop Mall will provide greater assurance for shoppers, while propelling the growth of brands and affiliate creators.
“Consumer confidence is the bedrock of a vibrant and sustainable e-commerce ecosystem, and we remain committed to elevating the online shopping experience for our community,” she said in a statement today.
Nur Azre said TikTok Shop’s internal studies show that peace of mind influences the purchasing behaviour of more than 80 per cent of shoppers.
“By leveraging TikTok Shop Mall’s 30-Day Free Returns proposition and strict 100 per cent Authenticity Guarantee, participating brands and homegrown micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will gain a distinct advantage in building credibility, accelerating sales conversion, and cultivating repeat purchases,” she added.
The enhanced return policy, implemented in early June, is designed to ensure a fair post-sale process for both buyers and sellers.
Sellers may reject return requests if the product is returned in an unsatisfactory condition, while TikTok Shop will bear the shipping cost for 'No Longer Needed' returns, giving shoppers greater assurance without adding costs to sellers.
Shoppers can identify eligible products by the 'Mall' badge displayed next to product titles. All orders with the badge are protected under the 30-Day Free Returns policy. Once a product is delivered, buyers have 30 days to initiate a return request via the in-app Orders Page.
Among local and international brands featured on TikTok Shop Mall are CLEF Beauty, Dododots, Christy Ng, BONIA, ELGINI, Lancôme, Pensonic, PUMA, Johnson’s Baby and OGAWA.
