KUALA LUMPUR, 9 Jan (Bernama) -- Johor Motorsports Racing (JMR) today announced a new major partnership with premium automotive protection film company XPEL for the upcoming race season, further strengthening JMR’s position as one of Asia’s leading motorsports teams.

Following JMR’s stunning podium result at the Suzuka 1000 endurance race in September, XPEL has expanded its commitment from being an event to a season-long partner for 2026.

JMR’s president and principal driver, Tunku Panglima Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ibrahim said XPEL is a perfect partner for the team as JMR strives for continued success across the Intercontinental GT Challenge and Asian Le Mans Series in 2026.

“I’ve been using XPEL products on all my cars for several years now, so I’m truly delighted to officially partner with them for the new season.

“XPEL’s protection solutions are especially important for us in long endurance races, where the car has to perform and look its best from start to finish. XPEL is a brand that shares our commitment to excellence, and we look forward to working closely together in our pursuit of perfection on and off the track,” he said in a statement.

Meanwhile, XPEL Asia Pacific vice president Chris West, said there are significant correlations between JMR and XPEL, particularly when it comes to striving for performance and precision.

“JMR represents excellence both on and off the track, and XPEL is proud to support a team that shares our commitment to performance and precision.

“As we continue expanding across Asia, this partnership allows us to connect with passionate enthusiasts while showcasing how XPEL protection products perform in the most demanding motorsport environments,” he said.
