KUALA LUMPUR, March 2 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Education (MOE) continues to strengthen the national education digitalisation agenda through the 'Jaulah Ramadan Komuniti KPM’ programme, a strategic initiative to ensure students have access to the latest learning technologies.

The effort is reflected through contributions of digital equipment and targeted welfare assistance to bridge the education gap, particularly among the asnaf and tahfiz students.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek presented the contributions during the breaking of fast programme that was attended by about 400 students from Sekolah Menengah (SM) Integrasi Sains Tahfiz of the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) here today.

Yayasan Didik Negara (YDN) chief executive officer Mohd Nasrul Khairi said the foundation serves as a one-stop centre to coordinate contributions from corporate companies and private agencies to the MOE community.

"The aim of this coordination is to ensure there is no duplication in the provision of contributions to schools nationwide, thus ensuring a more efficient and comprehensive aid distribution,” he told Bernama.

He said that apart from the digitalisation aspect, YDN also provided financial aid to 50 asnaf students from the school.

At the event, Yayasan Guru Tun Hussein Onn donated a smartboard to the school, while Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka contributed books of various genres to support digital learning and cultivate the reading habit among the school population.

In addition to welfare activities, the MOE also distributed pamphlets on the Malaysia Education Blueprint (RPM) 2026-2035 to residents in Bandar Tun Razak to raise awareness of the strategic planning of the national education system.

Meanwhile, the acting principal of SM Integrasi Sains Tahfiz MAIWP, Roshidah Ismail, expressed her gratitude for the school's selection and described the contributions as a catalyst for students’ excellence.

"The provision of this smartboard is highly appropriate to strengthening digitalisation in schools, thus ensuring student development keeps pace with the times in producing competitive IT-literate generations.

"Alhamdulillah, our School Average Grade (GPS) performance in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinationhas shown improvement for four straight years. Although we are a tahfiz school, mastery of digital technology remains a priority in our learning strategy,” he said.
