Lazada Malaysia Marks Anniversary With Wellness Festival, Community-focused Campaigns

KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 (Bernama) -- Lazada Malaysia took a fresh approach to celebrating its anniversary this year by hosting its inaugural Lazada Run Wellness Festival, drawing over 1,000 participants for a night of activities held in conjunction with Ramadan.

In a statement, the company said the festival reflects its commitment to creating meaningful experiences beyond e-commerce, fostering real-world interactions that bring communities together in an energetic and inclusive environment.

Held at the Rooftop Garden of LaLaport Bukit Bintang, the event was supported by more than 12 running clubs and featured a mix of fitness challenges, relaxation zones and social activities, highlighting growing interest in active lifestyles and community engagement.

Lazada Malaysia Head of General Operations Kevin Yap said the festival aligns with evolving consumer preferences for more meaningful, lifestyle-driven experiences.

“By bringing together running communities, brand partners and Malaysians from diverse backgrounds, we aim to create a space that celebrates movement, togetherness and shared joy. During Ramadan, this sense of connection becomes even more special,” he said.

Participants took part in a variety of fitness challenges, including the Neck Pro Gladiator Ring, TT Racing Obstacle Course, Brooks Tower Toss and NANOVET Farmer Carry, alongside lighter activities such as Air Ping Pong and the Jump for Rewards challenge.

As iftar approached, participants gathered to break fast together before concluding the event with a simultaneous glow stick activation, earning Lazada Malaysia recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records for the highest participation in its category.

In conjunction with the festival, Lazada Malaysia also rolled out its Lazada Birthday Blast campaign, a buy-and-win initiative running until March 31, 2026, offering lucky draw entries for every RM50 spent.

The campaign features prizes worth up to RM115,000, along with rewards from partners such as Viu, JomCharge, Sunway Lagoon and Lost World of Tambun.

Kevin Yap said the campaign is more than just a promotional effort, but a gesture of appreciation for customers’ continued support, especially during the Hari Raya preparation period.

“Through the Lazada Run Wellness Festival and Lazada Birthday Blast, Lazada Malaysia continues to strengthen its engagement with consumers, not only through digital platforms but also via real-world experiences that connect brands, communities and individuals more meaningfully,” he said.

Throughout March, shoppers can also enjoy a range of promotions, including vouchers with savings of up to RM1,000, Treasure Chest rewards of up to 33,333 coins, Coins Rush deals, discounts of up to 70 per cent, and Crazy Brand Mega Offers with discounts of up to 90 per cent.

Additional highlights include RM13 All Out Surprise Deals worth over RM130,000, along with daily offers designed to help consumers discover their favourite products, enjoy greater savings and shop with confidence, supported by product authenticity guarantees.
