Perak MADANI Rakyat 2026 Draws Record 313,872 Visitors, Generates Nearly RM1 Million In Sales - Nga

IPOH, April 5  (Bernama) -- The Perak MADANI Rakyat (PMR) 2026 programme attracted a record 313,872 visitors, the highest attendance since its introduction in 2024.

Minister of Housing and Local Government Nga Kor Ming said the programme also generated nearly RM1 million in sales value.

“Despite weather challenges, the response was highly encouraging. This programme is the MADANI Government’s flagship initiative to engage directly with the people, and we will continue to enhance such efforts to ensure they deliver meaningful benefits,” he said.

He was met after closing the PMR 2026 at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah, Meru Raya, which concluded today.

 Nga added that the programme successfully achieved its objectives, supported by strong public participation, while also benefiting small traders and promoting Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) served as the lead ministry for this edition of PMR, which kicked off in Perak last Friday.

The event featured more than 200 government services, along with a wide range of activities catering to all segments of society. These included the Jualan Rahmah Programme, free haircut services, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) exhibitions, and displays of military assets.

During the event, Nga also presented prizes to the winners of the “Lensa Rakyat, Ekspresi MADANI” photography and video competition.

He later handed out lucky draw prizes to visitors, including the grand prize, a Perodua Axia, won by Siti Nur Aishah Sallehudin, along with other consolation prizes.
