KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 (Bernama) -- The national-level 2026 Creative Video Performance Competition “Kami Wira AntiRasuah” (We Are Anti-Corruption Heroes), organised by the Malaysian Institute of Translation and Books (ITBM) in collaboration with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), has had a positive impact in shaping a future generation with integrity.

Deputy Education director-general (School Operations Sector) Zainal Abas, said the competition, which received 197 entries from 172 primary schools nationwide, proves that creativity- and digital technology-based approaches can strengthen the appreciation of integrity in a more comprehensive and effective way.

“This approach is seen as ‘killing two birds with one stone’, where students can understand the concept of integrity while at the same time sharpening their creativity and digital skills to convey messages to society.

“The production of creative videos by primary school students shows that they are not merely receiving information, but are able to translate anti-corruption messages through innovative ideas and the application of current technology,” he told reporters after the national-level finale of the contest here today.

Zainal said efforts to instill integrity values among students are not limited to seasonal programs like this, but are carried out continuously through various initiatives, including anti-corruption modules on the DELIMA (digital learning) platform, the Kedai Jujur (Honesty Shop) programme, and the involvement of MACC’s official mascot, Captain MACC.

Sekolah Kebangsaan Ulu Sapi in Telupid, Sabah, emerged as competition champion by presenting a message on the long-term effects of corruption on individuals involved.

The school’s mentor teacher, Juwitah Saiti, said that despite challenges such as weak internet connectivity and electricity disruptions in rural areas, they managed to produce a quality video thanks to the hard work of all parties involved, along with support from parents.
