KUALA LUMPUR, April 20 (Bernama) -- National bowler Nora Lyana Nastasia Norkamal was in her element today as she powered her way to the women’s Open title at the Thailand International Open 2026 in Bangkok.
In a thrilling stepladder final at Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl Ratchayothin, Nora knocked down a total of 474 pins to defeat Singapore’s New Hui Fen, who managed 353 pins over two games.
“I’m truly grateful to have earned this title for the third time. It means a lot, especially as it gives me a strong boost heading into this year’s Professional Women’s Bowling Association (PWBA) Tour.
“Being able to push through tough lane conditions and make it all the way to the end feels like a real blessing,” Nora said when contacted.
She hopes to carry this momentum throughout the year and continue performing strongly ahead of the Asian Championships in Doha, Qatar, in November.
